Larger than Life

While working for Gaylord Hall Production, a major responsibility involved working closely with the University of Oklahoma Fine Arts department to advertise upcoming shows. We interviewed OU Opera director Nicole Kenly Miller and Lead Actress Kate Snowden. For b-roll, we attended rehearsals and dress rehearsals and captured audio using a shotgun boom microphone. We used the interviews, original b-roll footage, and original audio to edit a short social media promotional video to encourage viewers to support OU Opera by attending the upcoming event showcasing two French operas, "Rita" and "L'heure Espagnole". Afterwards, we interviewed two costume designers for the two shows, and restructured the video as a longer piece edited to recruit prospective fine arts students. These two projects taught me how to edit differently depending on varying target audiences and platforms.
