Plain and Dry

“This unconventional rom-com follows Chadd, a deceiving womanizer, who is trying to get laid on the first date by personality matching his date, Liv. This satirical laugh-out-loud date night is something you will not want to miss! Especially through the credits!”

We shot over the duration of three nights. Shooting took place in the courtyard in the center of an apartment complex. We used the courtyard tables to look like the exterior of a restaurant with two characters on a date. I served as Second Assistant Camera, working closely with the Director of Photography and First Assistant Camera to set up each shot angle based on the script and storyboard. I also kept track of information for each shot for editors to use in post-production by slating before each take and occasionally tail-slating after takes. Up until this project, most of the narrative projects I had worked on were dramatic and serious in tone, so this was a great opportunity to try something new and work on a lighthearted, comedic story.
